Staring at a Blank Page

I can't write anything. I hate everything that comes out of my head and I feel like a hack. Why did I ever think I could write. I can't even come up with anything for an LT post for Selene (a character I've been playing for years).

I shall go off and wallow in self pity. And listen to more commentaries. Maybe listening to people who are actually creative will help me feel better.

Whenever I'm in a rut, I always find that just picking up a book by my favorite author or picking out a new book helps. Even perusing the isles at a bookstore helps me be more creative.

I had a writing professor in college tell us that the only way you can become a great writer is by being a great reader. It's really true: you pick up language and digest it through reading, and then it comes out in your own writing.

So my suggestion is to just step away from the pen (er, keyboard) for a bit and pick up a book to sink into. You'll feel refreshed and ready to write soon enough. :)
