Silliest Thing I've Done While At Work...

I once kicked a yellow Xterra parked outside the building where I work.

I also danced in the snow (a tiny, anemic little bit of snow), but I think the first one is worse.

Bwaha. Everyone kinda thought it was weird that I didn't want to be in the yellow X-terra pic in Austin. But when they realized who I was, who I was dammit, they were like ok. I understand now.

In my opinion, that's like seven kinds of awesome.

[identity profile] squaringkarma.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Hee! Yeah, I thought it was pretty awesome myself.

They were like you don't want to be in the yellow X-terra pic? What's wrong with you?

I offered to be the one to take the pic so them all could be in the pic and squee together. Didn't feel left out, not one bit.

And then one of my friends was like, that's thepatriotprez (as you know, I was still going by that then), she doesn't like Logan.

And they were like ok. Cool.

Did I tell you about how ladydisdain225 got JD to do a personalized voicemail thing for her? One of her friends, don't remember who, like, shoved the cell up my face at karaoke, all squee-like, and I'm so like "I don't care, why are you sharing this with me?" And you know JD wouldn't have done that if he knew who LadyD was. There's no way in hell that would have happened if he knew who she was.

I love you for not being in that picture. Were they like *gasp* how can you not like Logan?

Lady D huh? Ha! Yeah I don't think he would be going out his way if he knew that.

[identity profile] squaringkarma.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
YES. OMG, YES. It was so stupid. This one girl, she was wearing a I Heart Logan shirt and her mom was there too and her mom, HER MOM, was like "Go on, be in the pic." And I'm like I don't want to. You wanna be in the pic, go ahead, I'll take the picture.

Yeah, very surreal.

And you know who Lady D is right? Just want to be sure.

Sounds familiar, but I'm having a bit of trouble remembering why.

Taken from MI.net's recap of Saturday Austin:

Q: An anti-Duncan question. She recites a long list of things that Duncan did wrong.
A: Rob says Duncan has been universally kind. He's the nicest person.
Q: The crowd loudly grumbles.
A: Rob: "He is the nice boy..." Rob is interrupted before he can finish his answer.
A: Kristen: "It's not always shown on-screen but Duncan's the only one that show her true compassion and sympathy and love and..." Kristen is interrupted before she can finish her answer.
Q: "Bullshit!"
A: Kristen is quite taken aback by the reaction. Rob: "I see it differently." Rob then moves onto the next question.

That, my friends, is Lady D.

Also, she had her mom write an essay called "Evil Wears Argyle" and it was all Duncan bashing. She posted it on her LJ. But HER MOM wrote it. God. Geez.

Lady D and me do not mix AT ALL.

Oh dear. I remember hearing about that. It sounds spectacularly tacky. Both the Austin incident and the having your mom write an anti-Duncan essay (and heh, Evil does where argyle. Logan has been seen in it several times). If a anti-Logan essay appears on this journal, I hope you'll realize that it wasn't written by mother. One, she didn't watch Veronica Mars and two, she died last August.

*shakes head in disbelief*

YES I KNOW AND ALL THE FANGIRLS GO "STEP AWAY FROM THE ARGYLE LOGAN!" Whereas when I see Logan wearing argyle, I laugh. I say to myself, instead of to the crazy fangirls because their hearts would implode I'm sure, see evil does wear argyle. Hee.

she died last August.

Yes, I read about that on the VM4. I meant to express my condolences. That has got to be rough. *hugs*

Yeah it was rough. She was the person who I talked to about all of my fannishly obsessive things (that and she was a completely awesome human being). She listened and that was just about the best think about her.

[identity profile] squaringkarma.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 11:57 am (UTC)(link)
Awwwwww. That sounds like you had a really good relationship with her.

Man, I can't imagine losing my own mother.

Man, I can't imagine losing my own mother.

I couldn't either, until it happened. It was sort of like be punched repeatedly in the chest. But I'm mostly fine now. Though sometimes I see something that she would have liked or thought funny and I get a little sad.

[identity profile] squaringkarma.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 12:03 pm (UTC)(link)
You poor thing. *hugs*

[identity profile] alexwhitman25.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 11:35 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yes. I had issues there before the whole Austin thing happened.

[identity profile] squaringkarma.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 11:38 am (UTC)(link)
Glad to know I'm not the only one.

[identity profile] catatonia00.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
I'm laughing at the image of you kicking that yellow Xterra. I'm sure you look really cute doing it too.

[identity profile] queenrikki-hp.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
It was rather silly and childish, and now I sort of feel bad for kicking this stranger's car. But at the time I was bored and hadn't slept (like I ever do) and that combination tends to make me a bit loopy.

And besides it was fun.

And I have just been reminded that I have no Keith Icons, which makes me sad.

[identity profile] alexwhitman25.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 11:09 am (UTC)(link)
Hee! I would have kicked it too. Everytime I see one, I can't help but roll my eyes. Especially since the fangirls squee about everytime they see one - "omg I saw a yellow Xterra today and totally thought is it Logan Echoll's."

[identity profile] queenrikki-hp.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
"omg I saw a yellow Xterra today and totally thought is it Logan Echoll's."

So not only do these fangirls have bad taste in men, but they're stupid and crazy too? The point at which I start thinking fiction characters are driving a round, I hope someone will take me and put me in a facility where I won't be a danger to myself or others.

[identity profile] alexwhitman25.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 11:38 am (UTC)(link)
I know right? It's like umm...you know Logan Echolls isn't real right? And that Jason Dohring is a different person and doesn't drive a yellow Xterra (I assume). The scary thing is some of these 13 year old type reactions aren't just from tweenies.

[identity profile] squaringkarma.livejournal.com 2006-04-13 11:15 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah the Yellow X-Terra count on my flist is skeery. I even got a text on my way to Austin with the number one of my friends spotted that day. Heh, I'm thankful they have other redeeming qualities.
