The on-line VMars press conference is later today. I've got the password and everything, but I have to say that I'm having a hard time not hyperventilating. I'm just so excited. I'll go drink some tea and take a bubble bath, maybe that will help me calm down.

I have decided that I should never be within 100 miles of Rob Thomas. I know that if I were, it would bring out my latent creepy-stalker tendencies. I love Veronica Mars. I loved Cupid, I loved Rats Saw GOD. I know if I ever met him I'd hyperventalate and fall dead. Really.

Just finished watching the VM Webcast with Rob, and it was pretty cool. Kristin Veitch is a bit annoying, but at least she's excited about the show unlike some other interviewers. There were so many technical problems that I wanted to scream (or cry more likely). I really wanted to call in, but I was 1)Nervous and 2)AT work and it just didn't seem all that appropriate. I really hope they reair it later, though.

Oh, and I can't forget, there was Duncan-love (not too much, but enough), which makes every thing better. Everytime Rob talks about him, you know that Duncan is a character that he likes. I love it when Duncan-haters have to listen to that sort of thing.

It seems that there will be another Rob Thomas Webcast (please not with Kristin) on February 09, at 2:00 pm (EST). This should be interesting. I'll be at work, but I wonder if some other people might be able to get questions in.

Not the Matchbox Twenty guy. I mean the creator of two of my all time favorite television shows (Cupid and Veronica Mars). But more importantly for this post, he wrote Rats Saw GOD. You see, I went to the library and started reading it there (I didn't check it out because, well, as I say the library hit squad is after me -meaning I owe them a freaking lot of money). Anyway, I was reading the book and I was laughing (actually, I was trying not to laugh, but some parts of it were really funny). A little bit before decided to leave, a well, deeply middle-aged man (upwards of forty-five people)came over and, flirtily asked what I was laughing at.

I must be some sort of old guy magnet because that's all I ever seem to attract (except for the dude who told be I had nice calves, which although true, is a strange sort of comeon). Anyway, I tell the guy that I was laughing at the book. I say this in a way that does not invite furhter discussion but, as is so often the case, he ignores the signal. He wanted to know the name of book, which I said and he didn't hear. So I held up the book, He saw the words "RATS SAW GOD", repeated them and then looked and me funny and walked away.

So, from the bottom of my heart, I thank Rob Thomas for a new weapon in my arsenal against old creeps.
