That's the first thing I noticed about this picture. I have no idea what that says about me but it amuses me almost as much as the expression. And the Sontarans are just about the funniest thing ever.
So, I play The Sims 2 and I've seen some request for a Martha Jones sim. And while Martha is not exactly on the list of characters I like, I hate seeing people look for something and not be able to find it (at least not a good version). So I was wondering where to find good pictures of Freema. Full, three-quarters and side view are what I'm looking for. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.
I've watched the Shakespeare Code twice now and I've noticed something that makes me feel a little strange. I see everyone raving about Martha and I keep just thinking "Um, really?" Because I honestly like her less than I did in "Smith and Jones". I started out liking her (not loving her mind you)despite having some problems with the actress's perfomance and only an episode later I'm vastly annoyed by her. I think the root of my problem lies in Freema. I have a hard time believing her and it's affecting the way I feel about the character. Honestly, I like the idea of Martha more than what I see on screen.
I really liked Rose and I absolutely adore Billie Piper so I'm kind of disappointed that I don't like Freema as much (or at all if these first two episodes are any indication of the rest of the series). Some of this might shipper-blinders, though I doubt it as I don't actually believe in OTPs (My perception is that the Doctor and Rose loved each other and that it was true love, but I also have the belief that all loves are true). I want to like Martha but it's being made difficult.
Well, next week will hopefully be better

Because, honestly I had to use that as the title for this post. I've been thinking about the new series of Doctor Who, specifically Martha Jones. Nothing in depth but just that she seems custom made for me to hate her. First of all, her name is Martha which happens to be one of my least favourite names. It really grates on my ears (I usually just call her "New Girl"). Also she looks a great deal like one of my cousins who I didn't particularly like and thus I have a desire to punch her in the face. This does not bode well for my enjoyment of the series. However, I am trying to work past these issues.
Freema happens to have one of those faces that I know intellectually is pretty, but does nothing for me at all (probably because of the cousin thing). I like finding people attractive, it helps me enjoy things more. Also, I see a lot of people saying that she's going to be spectacular and they haven't even seen the eps yet.
I doubt my opinions will be shared by a lot of people. I generally tend to be the sort who has unpopular opinions (Whovian examples: Dalek is my least favourite episode of the entire run, I love Boomtown and Love and Monsters I preferred the second series to the first and I don't think that Rose was clingy during the second series).
